The Sermon began in September, 2010, is dedicated to biblical preaching. It started with 24 of us preachers, drawn from different regions such as Africa, Australia, India, UK and the U.S.A. None of us claim to be approaching the same level as Wesley, Whitefield, D.L. Moody, Evan Roberts or Uganda’s Festo Kivengere. Yet an opportunity came our way, to take some of the great themes and passages of the Scriptures, and to present them to a wider congregation than might be found in a local church or assembly. And we shall hope to add to the sermons week by week.
We do not set out to chat, lecture, or amuse, nor – we sincerely trust – to offer our own opinions or our academic attainments. We come before the camera – and you, at home – ‘in weakness and fear, and with much trembling.’
